Not stopping at Gabriel Magalhaes, the Gunners are still linked with a multitude of moves in the transfer market.

It looks like Arsenal are making the most of the weeks they have left to do business. After just announcing the arrival of their second entrant, Gabriel Magalhaes, they are now linked with a transfer for Lyon’s most wanted midfielder, Houssem Aouar.

The midfielder enjoyed a courageous Champions League run with the French side defeating Juventus and Manchester City on their way to a semi-final outing against the team that ultimately took the win, Bayern Munich.

The Frenchman has had an excellent comeback in his four seasons in Ligue 1. In 97 top-flight matches, he has 16 goals and 15 assists. Arsenal could use more midfield goals and Aourar is the right link to achieve this feature.

In addition to Aouar’s links, the north London club are still locked in negotiations over the potential transfer of Thomas Partey. But they will have to unload themselves to make room for these possible transfers. So far, Hector Bellerin and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are the first to be excluded from the new plans.

Quoting David Ornstein, Mikel Arteta decided not to let Ainsley Maitland-Niles leave the club, giving him a more senior and regular role in the squad. Everything he wanted.

His performance last Saturday was worth rethinking by the manager. Unfortunately, Bellerin has always been on his way out thanks to the continued time spent on the sidelines.

The manager is unwilling to risk the possibility of having an asset on the bench due to injury. Maitland-Niles has shown he has what it takes in defense and attack. This season could be a revolutionary campaign for the all-rounder. If he works, it’s a win-win situation for Arteta.

Preparations in the Emirates are developing well under the Spaniard. If they want to capture their last two goals from Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar, it would be seen as a fantastic summer window.
