Teresa and Joe Giudice have officially separated.
The “Real Housewives” couple have finalized their divorce after 20 years of marriage, according to New Jersey divorce attorney Vikki Ziegler, who handled the mediation between Joe and Teresa, both 48 years old.
“Joe and Teresa were successful in negotiating all the issues surrounding their marriage through private mediation with me,” Ziegler told Fox News in a statement Wednesday. “They are not yet divorced and only have the formality of waiting for the divorce judgment. The logistics of COVID and long distance were overcome as the parties were able to compromise and work on important issues for the benefit of their daughters. ”

Teresa and Joe announced their separation eight months ago.

The couple haven’t been together for more than four years after pleading guilty in 2014 to financial fraud. Teresa first served her sentence and was released in December 2015. Joe then began his 41-month prison term in March 2016.
Joe was detained by immigration officers after serving his sentence. A judge ruled in October 2018 that Joe, who is not a U.S. citizen, would be deported to his native Italy at the end of his prison term. He is currently living in Italy awaiting a decision in his deportation case.

Giudice said he came to the United States as a child and did not know he was not a United States citizen.
In November, Teresa and the girls visited Joe in Italy. The trip was captured by Bravo cameras, but it was during the Season 10 reunion that Teresa admitted that her feelings for Joe had changed forever.
