The Telegraph reports that Derby County are offering the former Liverpool striker a surprise return to English football.

The report claims the Rams are on the verge of a deal with the Serie A club for the teenager.

The 20-year-old has impressed after scoring 18 goals in 27 appearances for Belgium last season and has been linked with many Premier League clubs.

One thing is clear is that the Reds have clearly shown interest in a striker this summer and will no doubt have observed a number of targets before signing Jota.
