St. Mary’s COVID-19 Testing Clinics, HRM at Full Capacity


Sainte-Marie General Hospital gives priority to patients with symptoms or who have been referred for testing

Both St. Mary’s General Hospital and Grand River Hospital are experiencing extremely high demand this morning for testing for COVID-19.As a result, the Grand River Hospital closed its drive-thru testing center for the remainder of the day.

St. Mary’s says staff are prioritizing those who show symptoms or have been referred for testing.

The HRM clinic is closed for the day as they continue the backlog of tests since early Wednesday morning.

Regional police are also on site, directing traffic and helping with congestion.

They remind the public to be patient, kind and understanding with hospital staff and other members of the community.
