Sask. Reports 11 New Cases of COVID-19, Another Recovery


Saskatchewan health officials reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, along with a recovery.The new cases are spread across the province. There are two in the far northwest, two in Saskatoon, two in the midwest region, one in the east central, one in the southwest, one in the south central and one in the south-eastern areas. The location of the eleventh case is pending.

Out of 1,662 reported cases, 58 are considered active.

One person is hospitalized in intensive care in Saskatoon.

Yesterday 1,861 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.

Drive-through test sites that do not require referral will open Tuesday in Regina and Thursday in Saskatoon. This is in addition to the test and evaluation centers already open.

Regina’s drive-thru will take place in Hall C of the International Trade Center at Evraz Place. Testing will take place between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Saskatoon drive-through service is located at 3630 Thatcher Avenue. Tests will take place between noon and 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
