Shift workers at the Teck Coal Mine in Elkford, British Columbia are advised to watch for symptoms following a COVID-19 outbreak.Health officials are monitoring the situation closely. Workers who have returned to that province since Monday, August 31, must call 811 to arrange testing.

The Department of Health advises that the newly introduced rules for Newfoundland and Labrador rotational workers working outside of Atlantic Canada do not apply to those working at sites where an outbreak continues.

Meanwhile, outbreaks recently reported to Alberts on the Canadian Natural Albian oil sands, Syncrude Mildred Lake oil sands and the Suncor base plant remain in effect.
