TORONTO – Manulife Financial Corporation says former interim Conservative leader Rona Ambrose has resigned from its board of directors to take full-time employment.
The insurer says Ambrose’s departure after three years of service is effective Monday.
President John Cassaday says Ambrose’s experience and perspective has been “of great value” to the board.
The 51-year-old former politician held various positions in Stephen Harper’s government before becoming interim party leader between 2015 and 2017.
Ambrose could not be reached immediately for comment on her new job.
