Roman Reigns shocked the world by returning to SummerSlam, and during last week’s Payback the superstar knocked out The Fiend and Braun Strowman to win the WWE Universal Championship. During tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Reigns and Paul Heyman made their way to the ring, where Reigns vowed to defend his title against anyone.

During their appearance, Heyman made sure to convey to everyone watching that Reigns was the one who brought him to the heart of the matter and that he wasn’t actually bribing Reigns. Heyman then claimed that Reigns was cast aside and was tired of being thrown into the dark after his tireless efforts. Reigns then took the mic, saying it doesn’t matter who his opponent is because all he has to do is show up and win, which he will do exactly.
