Report: Wolves interested in convincing Liverpool to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports this weekend.

The mirror claims as Wolves hope to take advantage of Liverpool’s recent move to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich as they attempt to bring the England international to Molineux this summer.

Liverpool and Wolves have already done business this summer. Diogo Jota visited Anfield this week while Ki-Jana Hoever is heading in the other direction from the Liverpool Under-23 roster.

Wolves are hopeful that Liverpool will also have more balance to make financially following the Jota and Thiago signing deals which could make Oxlade-Chamberlain available.

The report claims Liverpool would like to recoup as close as possible to the £ 25million they spent on the player, giving Wolves a potential prize if they are to strike a deal.

Oxlade-Chamberlain excelled in pushes at Anfield but also struggled with injuries on numerous occasions at the club.

Wolves crave more depth and Oxlade-Chamberlain’s ability to play in a number of positions will make him a very alluring proposition.
