“There will be dramatically new and improved virtual, visual and digital offerings to complement the limited live entertainment or experiences – still in development – taking place in Times Square,” Tim Tompkins, president of Times Square Alliance, who is co-producing the event with Countdown Entertainment, said.
The owner of One Times Square, Jamestown, home to the New Year’s Eve ball, has created the virtual world of Times Square and a companion streaming app to let everyone experience Times Square and celebrate with us in these unusual times. .
Organizers noted that as years passed, the year’s news, people and pop culture will be incorporated into the celebration.
“More details to come; Either way, we’ll be celebrating with you in one form or another on the 31st, ”Tompkins said.
