Ranking Tour de France 2020 – Cycling – OlympicTalk

The 120th US Open is broadcast live on NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock with nearly 45 hours of live Winged Foot Golf Club tournament coverage starting Thursday.

NBC Sports is broadcasting the US Open for the first time in its 20 years from 1995 to 2014. The USGA announced in June that media rights for its championships had transferred to NBC Universal until 2026, renewing a partnership that had started in 1954 with the first US Open on television.

The estate includes 48 of the top 50 male golfers in the world, led by No. 1 Dustin Johnson and including 15 times major champion Tiger Woods.

The main live coverage will be complemented by alternate streams of Featured Bands, Featured Holes, a Open 360 and a US Open pop-up channel on Peacock. More details here.

There are Olympic connections: The 2020 and 2021 US Open are Olympic qualifying tournaments, where world ranking points are used to determine the field of 60 players for the Tokyo Games. The course will be taken from the official world golf rankings immediately after the 2021 US Open.

Longtime Olympic fans will recognize the musical chorus synonymous with NBC’s US Open broadcasts. Yanni“In Celebration of Man” from “In Celebration of Man” was used for the first time with the intro of the first broadcast of the 1992 Barcelona Games.
