The princess chose a bright yellow jacket for the occasion, a nod to the color used throughout the Tour. The race leader wears the yellow vest for the stages where he holds pole position.

The royal couple helped the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, and his wife, Laura Tenoudji, cut a ribbon at the alleged start of the race before setting off to watch the competition unfold for real. Albert and Charlene also watched the stage of the women’s race and attended the podium ceremony for this competition.
Princess Charlene was joined by MMA champion Conor McGregor and his partner Dee Devlin. Charlene and Conor will take part in a water bike challenge in a fortnight’s time where they will face off against opposing teams in a 180 kilometer challenge across the Mediterranean. The competition will raise awareness of causes supported by the Princess Charlene Foundation.
