Originally from St. John’s, Greene worked in the public service in Ottawa for 17 years before moving on to executive positions with Bombardier, CIBC and TD Securities.
Her career took her to the top of Canada Post, where she was appointed CEO in 2005. Then, in 2010, Greene became the first woman and non-British citizen to take charge of the British postal service, Royal Mail. Greene retired from this position in 2018.
Premier Furey says he’s thrilled to have Greene’s experience and credentials as the head of the economic recovery team.
