Nottingham Forest team Sabri Lamouchi chooses to face Queens Park Rangers


Jordan Gabriel retained his place in the Nottingham Forest starting XI as head coach Sabri Lamouchi made four changes for the championship opening shock.The Nigel Doughty Academy product was awarded for his solid debut in last weekend’s Carabao Cup loss at Barnsley, taking back the right-back spot at QPR.

Joe Worrall and Joe Lolley both entered roster after missing an injury at Oakwell, while summer rookies Jack Colback and Luke Freeman were also part of the squad.

Sammy Ameobi fell on the bench, while Fouad Bachirou, Joao Carvalho and Yuri Ribeiro were left out of the day’s squad at loftus Road.

In Ribeiro’s absence, Tyler Blackett looked set to take on the left-back role, completing the back line of Gabriel, Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo, ahead of goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Jack Colback was partnered with Ryan Yates in the midfielder role, with Lolley and Freeman joined by Nuno Da Costa as an attacking trio in support of lone striker Lewis Grabban.

Lyle Taylor was the only newcomer among the replacements, like Jordan Smith, Carl Jenkinson, Alex Mighten. Michael Dawson and Brennan Johnson formed the bench alongside Ameobi.

This made a team different from the team that had been beaten by the Tykes as Forest sought to secure an ongoing promotion in the capital.
