Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez and defender Aymeric Laporte have tested positive for Covid-19.
Algerian Mahrez, 29, and Frenchman Laporte, 24, will not be training with their teammates as long as they self-isolate under UK government and Premier League rules.
Manchester City said no player is showing symptoms of coronavirus.
Pep Guardiola’s side will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their first game of the new league season on September 21.
Both players are in the UK and with the self-isolation period being 10 days, Mahrez and Laporte are expected to be available for City’s game with Wolves in two weeks.
