Netflix announced Tuesday night that Vice President of Original Content Cindy Holland will step down and be replaced by Bela Bajaria, who is promoted to Vice President of Global Television. Holland has worked with Netflix for 18 years and has been a key player in the company’s shift from DVD by mail to the creation of original streaming content. Ted Sarandos, longtime Netflix chief content officer who was recently appointed co-CEO, said in a statement he “wanted to make it easier for our content teams to operate.” Bajaria led Netflix programming in a language other than English and was previously president of Universal TV.
