Griezmann paves the way for France’s return to Croatia

International football is in the news for the next few days. Follow the tracker below to see what Barca players are up to with their respective national teams. ALL TIME, CENTRAL EUROPEAN SUMMER TIME.

Tuesday September 7

22h50: Lenglet played the full 90 minutes for France, with Griezmann scoring a goal and playing 78 minutes in France’s 4-2 win over Croatia. Martin Braithwaite played 82 minutes in the scoreless draw between Denmark and England, while Semedo and Trincão did not play a minute in the Sweden-Portugal game (0-2).

21h30: Griezmann scores the first goal for the France team, equalizing Croatia’s first goal (1-1, min 43).

20h15: Griezmann and Lenglet leave for France against Croatia. As for Portugal, Semedo and Trincão will have to wait for their chance on the bench in the game against Sweden. Finally, Braithwaite starts for Denmark in their key game against England.

10h00: Today brings the final round of Nations League games for this international break, and three of the nine games have potential interest for Barca, all starting at 8:45 p.m. CEST.

Lenglet and Griezmann France play Croatia, Semedo and Trincao Portugal face Sweden, with both sides winning their opener, while Braithwaite Denmark have something to gain from their game against England to stay in the game after losing to Belgium in their opener.

Monday September 7

22h40: Frenkie de Jong played the 90 minutes of the Netherlands’ home loss to Italy. A Barella goal just before the break gave the azzurri the victory and leaves the Dutch one point behind the Italian leader in Group 1 of League A.

22h35: An Albanian side containing Barca B striker Rei Manaj lost in the second round of C League matches against Lithuania. The FC Barcelona striker played the 90 minutes.

10h00: On Monday, Frenkie de Jong’s Holland will face Italy, while Barca B player Rei Manaj’s Albania will face Lithuania. The two Nations League matches will start at 8:45 p.m.

Sunday September 6

22h45: The Spanish team wins 4-0 with Ansu Fati playing the full 90 minutes.

21h20: Ansu Fati scored the third goal against Ukraine and becomes the youngest goalscorer for the Spanish national team at 17 years and 311 days.

20h15: Ansu Fati starts in the Spain-Ukraine game, while Sergio Busquets starts on the bench.

10h00: This Sunday, the Spanish team, with Sergio and Ansu Fati, will host Ukraine (8:45 p.m.) on the second day of the Nations League.

Saturday September 5th

22h50: France beat Sweden 0-1, with Griezmann playing the full 90 minutes. The Barça player was unable to convert a penalty in added time. Lenglet was an unused submarine. Trincão, in his debut, played the final 12 minutes of Portugal’s 4-1 victory over Croatia in which Semedo was an unused sub. Finally, Braithwaite played 72 minutes in the Denmark-Belgium match (0-2).

20h15: Griezmann, leaving for Sweden-France. Lenglet will have to wait for his opportunity from the bench. As for Portugal, Semedo and Trincão start the game as substitutes against Croatia. Finally, Braithwaite starts against Belgium.

10h00: There are three games with potential interest for FC Barcelona today, and all three kick off at 8:45 p.m. CEST.

Antoine Griezmann and Clément Lenglet are part of the France squad which opens its UEFA Nations League campaign against Sweden.
In the same competition, Portugal of Semedo and Trincão entertain Croatia at Do Dragao Stadium, and Denmark of Martin Braithwaite are at home against Belgium.

Friday September 4th

22h45: Holland 1 – Poland 0. De Jong played the 92 minutes as the Dutch got off to a winning start in the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League. The match at the Johan Cruyff Arena was decided by a goalon from Steven Bergwijn in the 61st minute, with the assist coming from De Jong himself.

Rei Manaj Barca B also took a win tonight playing for Albania in a 2-0 win over Belarus. He also played almost the full 90 minutes, being substituted just at the end of the game.

10h00: Two more of our players are in action today. Frenkie de Jong is part of the Dutch team which hosts Poland and Rey Manaj of Barça B is in Belarus to represent Albania.

Thursday September 3

22h45: A goal from Gayá in added time allows Spain to draw 1-1 in Germany. Ansu Fati impressed in his very first appearance for La Roja and had a goal disallowed. Sergio Busquets was on the first 56 minutes.

21h45: Ansu Fati replaces Jesús Navas to make his senior debut in Spain. At just 17 years and 308 days, he becomes the second youngest player to appear on the squad.

20h45: Sergio Busquets starts for Spain in Germany. Ansu Fati is on the bench …

20h45: All over Macedonia. A penalty from Hugo Duro in the 82nd minute secured three vital points in a difficult draw that left Spain almost certain of a place at the European U21 Championships. Miranda and Riqui Puig played the full 90 minutes, while Carles Aleñà was substituted after 55 years. Barca B were even more interested in Pedri for the last 20 minutes.

6:11 pm: Riqui Puig, Aleñá and Miranda all leave for Spain U21 in Macedonia. This means Puig will make his Under-21 debut today. Well done to him!

12h30: Griezmann and Lenglet continue to prepare with France, who will face Sweden this Saturday.

10h00: The first international matches with representation of Barça will take place this Thursday. Sergio Busquets and Ansu Fati are part of the Spanish senior national team, while Riqui Puig, Pedri, Aleñá, Iñaki Peña and Miranda are part of the Spanish U21 team. Here is the program:
