PARIS (Reuters) – The French president on Tuesday said he wanted to bring all of Libya’s neighbors together to help find a solution to the conflict in the country.

“This is the initiative that France wishes to carry out in the coming weeks in collaboration with the Secretary General of the United Nations: to bring together all the neighboring countries to contribute to the Libyan solution. This re-engagement of the Libyan neighborhood is essential in the long term, ”said Emmanuel Macron in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

He did not name the countries he wanted to involve in the talks or give more details.
