French EODev obtains 20 million euros to commercialize hydrogen technology

The French company Energy Observer Developments (EODev) has closed a financing of 20 million euros to accelerate the industrialization and marketing of its hydrogen solutions.

This funding will accelerate the industrialization and commercialization of sustainable, reliable, innovative and accessible energy solutions.

EODev claims that its hydrogen solutions cover the entire energy chain, including medium-power hydrogen generators, on-board hydrogen energy systems for maritime and river use (propulsion and hotel charging) and gas stations. mobile floating hydrogen refueling for the production and distribution of green hydrogen.

EODev had taken advantage of a roundtable in mid-2019 to set up its operational structure, sign its first strategic agreements and contracts, as well as to finance and design prototypes.

The financing of the second round will enable EODev to position itself as one of the innovative players in the French hydrogen industry, whose growth is now a government priority after the implementation of the “France Relance” hydrogen plan.

The second financing was obtained from the shareholders of EODev, Groupe Accor, Thélem Assurances and Groupe Monnoyeur.

Created in March 2019, EODev is the result of research and development carried out aboard Energy Observer, the first energy-autonomous hydrogen vessel to sail around the world.

The company thus benefits from the expertise acquired by its engineers and validated over the 30,000 nautical miles that its laboratory boat has already covered since 2017, using hydrogen / fuel cell technologies.
