Fraser Hornby, the Scottish Under-21 forward, thinks he will play in one of the best leagues in the world, having become the first Scotsman to secure a permanent transfer to French Ligue 1 in 20 years.

Scotland’s Gemmill team resume their European Championship qualifying campaign tonight against Lithuania in Vilnius, knowing they need a win to propel them back into contention for qualification. Their attack will be led by Hornby, who sealed a £ 1.75million transfer to Reims from Everton this summer, following his successful loan from Kortrijk in Belgium.
