France expects spike in intensive care in quarantine as Glasgow KFC forced to close

FRANCE faces another blow in its bid to become Covid-safe as its intensive care units expect the number of cases to rise.

They have been on the UK’s quarantine list since last month, and that won’t be good news for UK holidaymakers.

Meanwhile, Glasgow had to close a branch of KFC in the Scottish city after six staff tested positive for the coronavirus – with the store now closed for two weeks, employees self-isolating.

And Leeds could have new lockdowns introduced following a spike in citywide cases.

Councilors have warned that city residents must make a “collective effort” to avoid being plunged back into a local lockdown.

The UK death toll rose by 13 yesterday to a total of 41,537, and cases have reached 342,351.
