Finn Balor takes over NXT championship

Finn Balor and Adam Cole went with the NXT Championship on the line in week two of tonight’s NXT Super Tuesday, and Balor was able to overcome a ton of pain as he reclaimed the title, knocking out Cole in an instant classic.

Balor and Cole went back and forth for most of the match, with Balor apparently having a leg injury during the match. However, he was able to overcome any pain and walk away with a big thank you to his athleticism and courage. Later in the match, Balor and Cole found themselves battling for position on the top rope, and Balor finished things off with a massive 1916 on the rope for the win.

Cole hits the rope and enters a stiff shot from Bálor. Bálor falls and elbows for a close fall. Bálor stomped on Cole in the corner. Bálor whips Cole from corner to corner, laying down a chop with each whip. Cole shoots and hits Bálor in the face with a nasty kick. Cole lands an enziguri followed by a backstabber. Bálor comes out. After a series of counters, Bálor finally lands the blade of the slingshot. Bálor tries John Woo’s dropkick but Cole counter with a brilliant wizard. Bálor leaves at two o’clock. Cole calls for The Last Shot. Bálor doubles Cole’s legs and immediately hits a double stomp. Bálor takes Cole out of the ring. Bálor tramples Cole in the barricade. Bálor seats Cole in a chair for another John Woo dropkick. Cole catches Bálor with a superkick outside the ring.
