Fifteen people test positive for COVID-19 after attending GTA church services

TORONTO – Fifteen people have tested positive for COVID-19 after attending church services in Toronto and Vaughan, Ontario. Toronto and York Region public health officials said the exhibits occurred at two Miracle Arena for All Nations events.

Health units say several people who attended services at both locations on August 16 were contagious with COVID-19.

They also believe there may have been others in the wards who had the virus and were contagious.

Health units say anyone who witnessed these events should watch for symptoms of COVID-19 until September 18.

They also followed up all known close contacts of the identified cases and asked them to self-isolate for 14 days and get tested.
