Elvis Presley’s Cousin Explains How The King CHANGED through the Three Stages of His Amazing Life | Music | Entertainment


Elvis Presley lived only 42 years, but left an incredible musical legacy. To date, The King is the most successful solo artist of all time. Yet over the course of his life Elvis often worried about the end of his career, but managed to evolve without really having to reinvent himself.

Elvis’ cousin Billy Smith, who grew up with the King and worked for him in the Memphis Mafia, believes there were three main stages in his life.There was 50s rock star Elvis, 60s Hollywood star Elvis and finally the 70s tour Elvis.

Appearing on his son Danny’s Memphis Mafia Kid YouTube channel, Billy shared how he thinks Elvis has changed over those three time periods.

The King’s cousin said that in the 1950s Elvis was “young and just starting out and everything was new.”

Baz Luhrmann of the Moulin Rouge is directing the film in Australia and was due to begin filming in March before the pandemic shut down production.

Austin Butler stars as Elvis Presley, while Tom Hanks stars as his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

In a statement, Baz said, “We’re back, as Elvis liked to say, ‘taking care of business!

“It’s a real privilege in this unprecedented global moment that Tom Hanks has been able to return to Australia to join Austin Butler and all of our amazing cast and crew to begin production on Elvis.

The director continued, “I can’t stress enough how lucky we feel in the current climate that the state of Queensland, and Queenslanders in general, have been so supportive of this film.

“We thank our partners in the Government of Queensland and Queensland Health for their extremely diligent process, so that we can be an example of how creativity and productivity can operate safely and responsibly in a way that protects our team. and the community as a whole.

“We’re all excited to start working with Tom Hanks when he’s out of quarantine in two weeks.”

Elvis is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
