“He writes incredible plays for women. He appears to have a strange insight and an ability to write extraordinarily well for women.

“And almost whatever project you’re working on, you know that when you get into any of its projects, it’s going to be a complicated three-dimensional character. “

The character of Victoria was last seen in season two of the BBC drama, which also starred Suranne Jones, and Gemma Foster’s neighbor moved to Edinburgh to live with her sister after her husband Neil l cheated once more after promising not to.

However, Life finds her settled in Manchester, where she has moved into an apartment in a house run by Gail (Alison) and Henry (Peter).

Belle’s life is said to fall into disarray when her sister Ruth (Susannah Fielding) is hospitalized and her sweetie makes an unexpected arrival at her doorstep.

Victoria continued, “Mike writes about living human beings with a lot of compassion and empathy, but he’s also not afraid to look at the dark sides of people.

“As an actor it’s wonderful because you can explore a character in a very real way and show, like there are with all of us, areas of your personality that maybe aren’t so palatable. and which you may be afraid of.

“As well as all the elements that are moving, emotional and easy for an audience to connect. All of Mike’s characters are completely rounded like this. And it is quite rare. Plus, it’s a pleasure to play.

Mike, meanwhile, admitted that he always wanted to explore what happened to Anna after leaving the show.

To bring her back, he explained: “Two reasons. When I was writing some of her last scenes in Doctor Foster, the character surprised me when she said she was completely moving to a new city. Restart.

“It sounded like a story full of potential and one that I hadn’t necessarily seen – a woman in her 40s, married for much of her adult life but now divorced and eager to start over.

“I also found Belle’s voice came very easily when writing, and it’s a good sign that there’s a lot of fun to be had with the character. “

Gushing about Victoria, he continued, “Second, I wanted to work more with Victoria Hamilton. She’s one of the best stage actresses to ever exist, and I wanted to write a lead role on screen so that she could bite her teeth.
