Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan will be summoned again by NCB? Official clarifies reports – Bollywood


Statements by actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Karishma Prakash were recorded, Mutha Ashok Jain, DDG, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said on Saturday. He said no one has been summoned again yet.

Deepika is said to have broken down three times during her interrogation by NCB on Saturday. The actor, along with fellow actors Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor, have been questioned by NCB about alleged drug use in Bollywood.

Deepika, who was in Goa for the filming of her next film with Shakun Batra, returned to Mumbai after being summoned by NCB. The actor was the first of three actors to reach NCB’s office in Colaba. She arrived around 9.45 a.m. and reportedly left the premises at 3.30 p.m.

According to a report in India Today, the actor of Bajirao Mastani collapsed three times during the interrogation. NCB officials asked him not to play the “emotional card”. The actor accepted WhatsApp conversations with his manager Karishma Prakash but denied using narcotics Deepika was confronted with Karishma during his interrogation, sources said.

Sara and Shraddha also denied using drugs during their interrogation session with NCB officials. The statements of the three actors were recorded in the drug investigation linked to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and a suspected link between Bollywood and drugs.

The NCB also arrested producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad in the drug case relating to Sushant’s death on Saturday. On Friday morning, he had been picked up by an NCB team at his residence in the suburb of Versova and questioned all day at his Ballard Estate office. The agency has so far arrested at least 18 people in the cases.

While Sara and Shraddha were interviewed at the BCN’s zonal office in Ballard Estate, Deepika was interviewed at a guesthouse in Colaba, a central agency official said. Shraddha reached the NCB office around 12 p.m. and left after six, while Sara arrived around 1 p.m. and left around 5:30 p.m.
