Examinations in Wales could be delayed next year.
Wales Education Minister Kirsty Williams said discussions would be held by regulator Qualifications Wales on the date of next year’s exams.
There have been calls for exams to be canceled altogether – Ms Williams said she intends to push them forward.
But there could be changes in the way qualifications are taught, with the WJEC review board considering changing the specifications.
It follows a controversy in August over how A-level results were delivered, before the system of scoring student grades was abandoned in favor of teacher assessments.
Students asked the government to use the grades predicted by teachers
