A flower arrangement was seen alongside a framed photo of Boseman, and music from a hanging drum was also part of the service, according to the photographs.
Boseman died in late August following a private four-year battle with colon cancer. He was 43 years old.
“A true fighter, Chadwick has persevered through it all and brought you a lot of movies that you have come to love so much,” his rep said in a statement. “From ‘Marshall’ to ‘Da 5 Bloods’, ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ by August Wilson, and many more, all have been filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.
In the wake of Boseman’s death, countless Hollywood tributes have poured in, including a touching note from Jordan, 33, last week.
“I thought about every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug… everything. I wish we had more time, ”he posted on Instagram.
