Family lawyer for Carole Baskin’s first husband Don Lewis says it is “impossible” to believe both the “Dancing with the Stars” candidate and the woman who provided new information on the case cold.
As viewers of the Netflix documentary series ‘Tiger King’ know, the big cat lover, archnemesis of Joe Exotic, who is currently seeking a presidential pardon, has maintained his innocence since Lewis disappeared in 1997 and was pronounced dead. .
John Phillips, the lawyer for the Don Lewis family representing all of his children and grandchildren – who appeared in an ABC ad “DWTS” demanding answers on their father’s death and offering a reward of $ 100,000 – s ‘is interviewed with Nancy Grace in an exclusive interview on Fox Nation’s “Crime Stories”.
Commenting on an interview about CBS ‘new limited series “48 Hours Suspicion,” in which Trish Farr-Payne said she thought her ex-husband Kenny Farr, who was Baskin’s former handyman, might have played a role in Lewis’ disappearance in 1997, Phillips said the timing really matters.
CAROLE BASKIN’S MISSING HUSBAND’S FAMILY AIRS COMMERCIAL AT THE PREMIERE OF ‘DWTS’
“I sat down and talked to Trish, formerly Trish Farr, Kitty Farr, his ex-wife, and it’s really important to note that this call, this conversation she had with her husband, Kenny, has occurred before the day before Carol’s report he was missing, Carol saw him for the last time, ”Phillips said.
“If you believe this story, Kenny says Don is gone, he’s missing, but Carol says she saw him the next day, so it’s impossible,” Phillips explained. “These two facts cannot exist in the same container of space. ”
Lawyer for the Lewis family said he sat down with Farr-Payne, who is “very well known”, and stressed: “There is no doubt in my mind that she believes what she says. . ”

Kenny Farr is named in Lewis’s peer discovery bill as they pursue information under Florida law, a rare case.
“If we can date that Kenny knew he was missing before Carol said he was missing, we have a serious problem,” he said, noting that Farr-Payne alleged that her ex-husband had informed her that if she left him she would go “to the mill.” like I did Don. ”

“But we took legal action here to get information to compel depositions, questioning, subpoenas to try to determine if there was enough fraud, so that we could open some of the statutes of limitations. He told Grace.
“We’re not addicted to it because Carol has this daily blog that she publishes that broadcasts every day involved,” he said. “And she comments on every post that gets posted, so she’s just digging her own mess.”
He thinks Baskin will have to sit down for a deposition and explain his side in the situation.
Lewis is also suing Susan Aronoff Bradshaw, who was the key witness in the power of attorney, for information.
“She says now… that she wasn’t there.” She didn’t sign that. She said so in her response to our petition. And so this is a big problem. She said POA didn’t have it, wasn’t real, “Phillips said.
Baskin was known to have tried to shut down Joseph “Joe Exotic” Maldonado-Passage’s Oklahoma Zoo for years, accusing him of abusing animals and selling large kittens. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison for his role in a paid murder plot that involved an attempt to hire someone to kill Baskin.

In retaliation, Maldonado-Passage raised questions about Baskin’s former husband. The documentary largely covered her repeated accusations that Baskin killed her husband and possibly fed him to his tigers. Baskin has not been charged with any crime and has repeatedly released statements refuting the charges made on the show.
In June, a federal judge awarded Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue Corp. control of the Oklahoma Zoo which was previously run by Maldonado-Passage and Jeff Lowe.
In March, the Hillsborough County Sheriff sought advice in the Lewis case and announced the reopening of the Lewis case.
