BCN chief Rakesh Asthana arrives in Mumbai to review Bollywood drug investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput case

The NCB has constantly investigated the angle of drugs in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Over the past few weeks, many Bollywood names have been dragged along in connection with the same. In the past two days, actresses Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan appeared before the agency at the NCB office where their statements were recorded. Meanwhile, filmmaker Kshitij Prasad, who was previously associated with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, has been fired until October 3.

In the midst of it all, NCB chief Rakesh Asthana arrived from Delhi to Mumbai. He would review the drug investigation and all person questioning that has taken place in recent days. He will also review the progress of the Mumbai team in terms of their investigation into the Bollywood drug link. Asthana will also plan the action plan in relation to the same. He will also decide who else will be called for questioning.

According to a Republic TV report, the agency is not satisfied with the actresses’ response. Meanwhile, Asthana was also made aware of the two drug cases recorded by the agency last month after the ED wrote to her about the alleged drug talks of a few Bollywood celebrities. Previously, the BCN had arrested Rhea Chakraborty, the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, his brother Showik, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant for buying drugs.
