Aston Villa, Southampton and West Ham love Ruben Loftus-Cheek
According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa is pushing to sign Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, but will face Southampton and West Ham United.
A product of the Blues Youth Academy, Loftus-Cheek has so far shown a lot of promise in his young career. The midfielder has racked up 82 senior appearances for the club to date, scoring 12 goals in the process.
However, injuries meant he was barely featured last season. And following the recruitment of Kai Havertz this summer, the England international’s chances are likely to take another blow this campaign.
Indeed, the 24-year-old has not been part of the day’s squad in the last three games, having started the season opener against Brighton.
And his situation has put a number of Premier League clubs on alert. Aston Villa are keen to strengthen their midfield, as manager Dean Smith has confirmed. And Loftus-Cheek has become a viable target for a season-long loan deal. (h / t Daily Mail)
However, the Villans will face competition from Southampton, as well as London rivals Chelsea, West Ham United. (h / t Daily Mail)

Considering how many options manager Frank Lampard has in midfield, there’s a good chance Loftus-Cheek will be allowed to go on loan.
It would serve the 24-year-old as well, as he would accumulate valuable experience rather than warming up the bench at bridge.
It remains to be seen where the England international will end 10 times before the transfer window closes in a week.
