VANCOUVER – Another local McDonald’s has closed its doors to the public for now following possible exposure to COVID-19. The restaurant at 7229 Kingsway, near the Highgate Village shopping center in Burnaby, has closed to allow time for cleaning and sanitation.

An employee reported on Wednesday that he tested positive for the disease.

This person worked his last shift on Sunday afternoon.

A McDonald’s on the Fraser Highway in Surrey was closed on Tuesday and another franchise closed briefly at the end of August in Richmond.

Another possible exhibition in Richmond and three in Vancouver were also announced this week.

Vancouver Coastal Health has warned those who have been to the Flying Beaver Bar and Grill, Athens Cultural Club, West Pub and You Plus One to monitor themselves for symptoms.

Details on the locations and dates of these four sites can be found in Wednesday’s coverage.
