a footbridge marks the way to the entrance to the anfibio treehouse – it’s the start of an adventure, to take refuge in a new world. on the way up, a whole new natural world is revealed: the sound of running water, the breath of the wind, the aroma of damp earth. the wooden frame dematerializes upwards, and its 4 horizontal layers express the interior distribution.
on entering, verticality and darkness frame 10 steps leading to the upper levels. the medieval context is not forgotten under these sensations, and a mixture of security and mystery is generated. while climbing towards the light, visitors discover each layer, as well as their spatial characteristics. at the top, the terrace opens completely to the forest landscape. silence, privacy and contemplation describe the setting for those who live life in the “dungeon”.
