2 more Saskatoon schools report COVID-19 cases


Two other Catholic schools in Saskatoon are reporting positive cases of COVID-19.The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) on Wednesday confirmed cases of COVID-19 at St. Mark’s School and Catholic High School in Bethlehem.

Great Saskatoon’s Catholic Schools Division does not say if they are students or staff. It also does not specify the number of reported cases.

The division said it was working with health officials to educate parents and caregivers and that the SHA was conducting contact tracing.

The cases come after further positive tests reported at St. Peter’s School, Holy Cross High School and St. Joseph High School.

Saskatoon has become the hotspot for COVID-19 in recent weeks. According to the Ministry of Health, 47 of the 107 active cases are in the city and the surrounding area.

So far, no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in schools in Regina.
