In the city, 58 new cases have been recorded – taking Leicester’s cases beyond the 6,600 mark.
Across the county, 42 have been identified.
Distributed at the district and borough level, it is Charnwood where the most new cases were added, with 16.
Harborough’s overall total rose by nine and on the day new restrictions were introduced, the total number of Oadby and Wigston cases rose by eight.
Hinckley and Bosworth and North West Leicestershire added four new cases each.
Blaby, who was put on the government watchlist on Friday, has registered a new case.
There have been no new cases picked up at Melton.

The Prime Minister will announce a new round of restrictions tonight after government scientists yesterday described the spread of the virus as “exponential”.
Boris Johnson praised the efforts of Leicester residents throughout the local lockdown and called them “heroic”.
The national speech will take place this evening. The Prime Minister will detail the new measures he revealed in a speech in the House of Commons at noon.
They will include pubs and restaurants closing at 10 p.m. and requiring staff who can work from home to do so.
