But now TikTok user @Izmott, who shares clips of his enviable roast dinners and cooking tips, has uploaded a tutorial on how to recreate amazing roasted potatoes with a crunchy coating and chewy topping.

What do you need:

  • Potatoes
  • Flour
  • Ail
  • Rosemary
  • Goose fat or alternative

How to make the perfect roasted potatoes:

  • Preheat the oven to 200C

  • Peel the potatoes and boil them in a saucepan until they are “soft but not too soft”

  • While you wait, chop enough garlic and rosemary to season the number of potatoes you are cooking

  • Once the potatoes are steamed, shake them in a dish until they are frothy and coat them with a light layer of flour
