‘We spoke’ – West Brom star responds as Jack Grealish posts cryptic tweet

West Bromwich Albion striker Charlie Austin responded to Jack Grealish’s cryptic tweet. The Aston Villa captain posted a photo of himself celebrating his goal in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United.

This goal ensured Villa’s survival in the Premier League and now the National League season has ended transfer rumors around Grealish have started to escalate.

Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with known Manchester United interest, although it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are focused on signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Grealish, meanwhile, appears to have acted on the photo he posted of one of him with his fingers in his ears.

Incidentally, it’s Austin’s celebration as well and he sent Grealish a playful message to let her know it’s his signature.

“We talked about it,” Austin replied to Grealish’s tweet with a laughing emoji.

Austin, an avid social media user, is set to face Grealish next season following his promotion from West Brom to the top flight.

Austin has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season, his first campaign at Albion having secured a transfer to the Southampton Hawthorns last summer.

Grealish continues to generate interest after an eight-goal return in his debut Premier League season after three away campaigns.

He also recorded six assists in 36 top-flight games.
