Vancouver restaurant temporarily closes as employee tests positive for coronavirus


A popular Vancouver restaurant has temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.Rumpus Room, which found the Foundation’s former location at 2301 Main Street, took to social media to let the public know it was temporarily closed on Saturday.

“On August 13, a member of the playroom’s kitchen team tested positive for COVID-19,” the restaurant wrote. “They are currently isolated at home and are doing very well. We wish them a speedy recovery and support them in any way we can. “

The restaurant claims to have worked closely with Vancouver Coastal Health on how best to deal with this situation.

“VCH said that because we are closely following all health regulations and social distancing guidelines, and because the employee was in the back of the house wearing a mask at all times, there is a very low risk of transmission to other employees and customers, ”the company wrote.

It is not specified when the Rumpus Room is expected to reopen.
