UFC 252 weigh-in results: Stipe Miocic, official Daniel Cormier for the trilogy fight, Herbert Burns misses 3.5 pounds

Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier placed well under the heavyweight limit for the conclusion of their trilogy at UFC 252, but a pair of featherweights had issues with the scale.

In official weigh-ins on Friday, Miocic came in at 233 pounds and Cormier at 236, making them official for the headliner of the UFC 252 heavyweight championship which takes place on Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Miocic weighed 242.5 pounds and Cormier 246 for their first meeting at UFC 226 in July 2018, which Cormier won by first round knockout to claim the heavyweight title from Miocic. For their revenge at UFC 241 in August 2019, Miocic weighed 230.5 and Cormier 236.5. Miocic beat Cormier by TKO in the fourth round to regain the title and set up a third fight.

Roosters co-headliners Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera were also at weight, both tipping the scales at 136 pounds.

Featherweight Herbert Burns was 149.5 pounds, 3.5 pounds over the limit (including the one pound allowance) for his main card fight against Daniel Pineda, and featherweight TJ Brown ( 146.5) also lacked weight for his fight with Danny Chavez. Both fights will take place at a catch-up weight, with Burns and Brown losing 20% of their purses to their respective opponents.
