Fauci, a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, noted there was a risk when crowds of people gathered, prompting Jordan to push for a direct response to the protests in particular.
“So the protests aren’t increasing the spread of the virus?” Jordan asked.
” I did not say that. You put words in my mouth, ”Fauci replied.
“I just want the question answered. Are the manifestations increasing the spread of the virus? Jordan urged.
“I can tell you that crowds are known, especially when you don’t have a mask, to increase acquisition and transmission, regardless of the crowd,” Fauci replied.
When asked if the government should limit protests because it is organizing church gatherings, Fauci responded by saying that he was “not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way.”
Carlson responded to his show’s back-and-forth praise by praising Jordan while saying, “There is nothing that Dr.Anthony Fauci will not comment on until it offends the popular and fashionable left. ”
“Fauci is 79, but maybe if he had like 22-year-olds trying to make their way through this world in an economy that’s heading for the tubes, thanks in large part to his recommendations, he would feel differently, ”the conservative host said.
“It’s not just an inconvenience when your economy collapses. It’s the end of the American dream. It is no small thing. Maybe it’s worth it. Maybe it isn’t, but if it is, then you probably shouldn’t drop the question, “Are protests, riots okay?” “Unless you’re a total fraud, like a complete fraud,” Carlson added.
Carlson again blasted Fauci later in the segment, saying, “What a fraud this guy is. ”
A Quinnipiac University poll released in July found 65% of voters trust the Fauci, although there are strong partisan differences. Of the Republicans polled, 52% said they did not trust Fauci on the pandemic, while 86% of Democrats said they trusted him.

Carlson has criticized Fauci on several occasions in his schedule, including earlier this week, calling him a “hypocritical buffoon.”
“By no means can you notice that Dr Fauci is in fact very often a hypocritical buffoon who refuses to admit what he clearly doesn’t know,” Carlson said Monday.
“If you say that out loud, they’ll cancel you. Fauci is too useful in the Biden campaign. So until November, Fauci’s word must be law even if it doesn’t make sense. Criticize Fauci and you will disappear from the Internet, ”he added.
