Trump campaign suspends ad spending

The Trump campaign has temporarily suspended TV ad spending as it undergoes a “campaign strategy review and refinement,” according to a Trump campaign official. The reassessment under new campaign manager Bill Stepien does not extend to digital advertising. The Trump campaign has spent more than $ 84 million on TV spots alone since the coronavirus pandemic began in mid-March, including $ 17.6 million on the political battlefield in Florida and $ 10.4 million dollars in Pennsylvania.

Two weeks ago, Mr. Trump promoted Stépien in the campaign’s top post, ousting Brad Parscale. After being transferred from political director to deputy campaign director at the end of May, Stepien began a review of the operation’s infrastructure and spending. NBC News first reported on the TV commercial.
