Will we see more of Joe Hart today?

Joe Hart made his unofficial debut for Tottenham against Ipswich, sharing the second half with Paulo Gazzaniga after Hugo Lloris secured the 45th opener.

The former England No.1 appears to be a shrewd signing, bringing a wealth of experience while helping Spurs meet their quota of home players.

However, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking to Football Insider, insisted Hart was more than a team filler.

In fact, he believes Hart will be intending to compete for a place in the first team.

“He won’t go there to rest on his laurels,” he said. “He will think, and certainly I would think, that Lloris has been injury prone and inconsistent over the past two seasons, Gazzaniga has done well. But Joe Hart definitely believes he’s better than him.

“He will want his chances to play.

“With the number of games Spurs have had, given that they have to enter the Europa League early, there will be game time. It’s a real opportunity for him to play some games. ”
