Three shots at LA mansion party “in the presence of an NFL player”

Three people were seriously injured in a shooting attack at a mansion party attended by “hundreds” of people in Los Angeles.

The LAPD said police were called to a house on Mulholland Drive at around 7:30 p.m. local time on Monday evening in response to a call about a disturbance. A man claiming to have worked on security at the premises said the party was being organized for an anonymous NFL player, according to CBS Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department added in a statement that three people were taken to hospital following a shooting, including two seriously injured and one declared “in serious condition”.

State health officials have banned “parties of any size” in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus, but dozens of guests could be seen mingling above.

CBSLA correspondent Brittney Hopper previously reported from the scene that she and her crew “walked away from the party because it was getting too out of hand.”

She said: “A security guard told us the party was being organized for an NFL player. We don’t know which player, we don’t know which team.

Ms Hopper described “buses” of guests “coming and going” from the mansion, with “hundreds of people at one point.”

The company handling the short-term rental told the broadcaster it was the first time it had heard of the game, describing it as a serious breach of the rental agreement and adding that tenants had been asked to vacate the area. mansion immediately.
