Deborah Rose’s lottery dream has truly come true.
Woman Thorold, who has been playing the same lottery numbers since they came to her in a dream, won $ 1 million in the July 28 Lotto Max MaxMillions draw.
Her advice to other lottery players: “Stay positive,” she said, when she walked to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Prize Center in Toronto to claim her winnings.
“I didn’t have a very good day,” she said in a statement from OLG. “But it surely made my day when I saw the Big Winner message pop up (when I checked my ticket).
“I remember saying, ‘What?’ And then I started to cry.
Rose, 64, a grandmother and mother of four, said she would share some of her earnings with her children. The enormity of her victory, she said, hasn’t hit her yet, but she expects it to be when the money arrives in her bank account.
“I really want to visit Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria,” she said.
His winning ticket was purchased at the Avondale store on Main Street in Port Colborne.
