Home Lifestyle The release of Juelz Santana prison with the help of Meek Mill
Juelz Santana enjoys his newfound freedom in part thanks to Meek Mill … And now he wants to give back to the inmates he met behind bars.
Here’s the deal… Juelz is released from prison after serving 19 months of his 27-month sentence in his airport drug case, and he has to thank Meek for his smooth progress.
Our sources tell us that Meek helped Juelz by hooking up his wife, Kimbella, with a lawyer who helped guide them through the process to make sure everything went smoothly. Courts and the prison system can be tricky, and we’re told Meek wanted to make sure things were okay for Juelz.
The Dipset MC was able to go straight home and skip the halfway house it was originally intended for. Many halfway houses are closed due to the pandemic.
Juelz is now on probation which, as we first reported, means he will have to undergo a drug test within 15 days of release.
Now that he’s out, Juelz tells us he wants to give back to inmates by working with nonprofits whose missions include overturning sentences for wrongfully convicted prisoners. Juelz says he also wants to help inmates find a platform for the music and movie scripts they write on lockdown.
On that same front, Juelz tells us he’s written a ton of new music inside, as well as a script for a TV series. He says he’ll be heading back to the studio on Monday, but also wants to take the time to focus on his family and catch up on 19 months. he spent in prison.
Juelz’s wife is happy to have her husband at home… she says it’s surreal to find him, to wake up next to him and see him with their children.
Looks like Meek also inspired Juelz… his wife says she and Juelz will be working on prison reform efforts.
