The Damian Lillard beef against Paul George and Patrick Beverley moved from the basketball court to social media shortly after Lillard’s Portland Trail Blazers won a winnable game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

Much to the delight of George and Beverley of the Clippers, Lillard missed two free throws and a three-point attempt in the final 45 seconds of a 122-117 win in Los Angeles.

After the game, Beverley waved goodbye to Lillard in the same way he waved goodbye to George and Oklahoma City after hitting a three-point basket in Game 6 of a series 1 win. round against the Thunder in 2019.

After Saturday’s game, Lillard was asked about George and Beverley’s reaction to his failure at the end of Saturday’s game. Lillard responded by reminding the world that he sent Beverly and George home with playoff losses.

As for Beverley, Lillard was referring to 2014, when his three-point play in Game 6 against Houston ended the first round streak. Beverley played for Houston at the time.

Bleacher Report created a Lillard meme and one of his quotes about George and Lillard and posted it on his Instagram account. This led to George and Beverley responding in the comments section of this post.

Beverley (patbev21) commented: “Cancun on 3 😂😂😂”

Paul George commented: “And you are sent home this year 🤣 respect”

Lillard then applauded George, commenting, “Keep changing teams… run away from the grind.” you boys are idiots ”

George started his career in Indiana before being traded to Oklahoma City in 2017. The Thunder traded George to the Clippers last year.

George wasn’t too kind to Lillard’s remarks and countered that he had a more successful run at his first stop (Indiana) than Lillard had in Portland.

No, none of this is very mature.

But that makes a great theater. Too bad we probably won’t get a Blazers-Clippers playoff this year.
