‘America’s Got Talent’ winners Kodi Lee and Mat Franco returned as eleven acts turned into five – and you ruined this one! Once again, Kelly Clarkson was on board to replace Simon Cowell, and she was joined by a pair of alumni “America has talent” the winners to help the show complete an hour-long episode just to reveal five names. Speaking of these five names, we had our predictions from the night before to see if we (by what we mean by you) were right. We predicted that you would advance Feng E, Double Dragon, Archie Williams, Roberta Battaglia, and Simon & Maria.

We were almost right, but then you got so wrong and created a heart-wrenching showdown that we never predicted and certainly didn’t want to see. Again, the results are too complex. Acts one, two, and three advance automatically. Then four, five and six go head to head for the live Dunkin ‘Save. ensuite the other two acts among these three face the judges who fill in this last box. Phew! There are so many ways forward that it’s even harder to foresee and be heartbroken. Is that why it happened tonight? Along the way we were treated to two triumphant winners returning to the stage that made them. Magician Mat Franco blew everyone away with three incredible ‘coincidences’, while defending champion Kodi Lee showed us a softer side. Who do I think I am? you ask. Well, I’ve spent almost a decade of my life sweating and bleeding to the sound of music as a dancer. From a young boy learning shuffle ball to playing with the St. Louis Ballet Company, I experienced the ups and downs of one of the most physically demanding sports on the planet. During this time, I was also a member of the Orchester symphonique des jeunes de Saint-Louis, as well as a gymnast, writer and designer. I had a lot more energy in my younger years. And I’ve spent the past eighteen years analyzing and reviewing reality TV contests for various media publications. I have that.

The very first magician to win “AGT” returned from the theater named after him in Las Vegas to wow Heidi and Kelly with an impressive card sorting. It was a well-structured thing, setting up the principle with what felt like a simple sleight of hand but turning the same principle into truly mind-blowing theatricality. He has a fun ease about him and really helps you get excited around him when things are going right – and they always do!
Defending champion “AGT” returned with an entirely new vibe and sound, but the same incredible talent. We saw a softer side to Kodi Lee as he faced off against Finneas’ “Break My Heart Again”, but there’s no denying the incredible vocals. It was a choice and Kodi remains an absolute masterclass.
Brett Loudermilk, Feng E and Double Dragon were the three performers who finished fourth, fifth and sixth in the home votes. Obviously, we think Brett should be the one to lose because we had the other two as our TOP 2 acts. Seriously, what show were you guys watching, those acts killed him Tuesday night!

Of the remaining seven acts, Terry first mentioned Archie Williams, Bello & Annaliese Nock and Michael Yo. Immediately, we were concerned that our prediction of Michael missing because of this weak start to his set would come true. Of course it was fine Archie Williams. Then it was time for Frenchie Babyy and Shaquira McGrath to face the music. We haven’t had any of them in the semifinals, but we also know America loves more common and familiar singers and numbers. That said, Shaquira McGrath’s the first audition was an eye opener so we can’t be too angry. Roberta Battaglia, Pork Chop Revue and Simon & Maria were the last trio to step forward and learn their destiny. Our ranking should see that place go to Roberta, who is truly a remarkable singer. But she would also mark the third singer in three as American TOP 3. Did you really do this? Nothing like predictability, however Roberta Battaglia is a stunning singer at such a young age.

Then it was time for the acts of Dunkin ‘Save, Brett Loudermilk, Double Dragon and Feng E. In order to mainly redeem our predictions (to at least get four out of five), we need Brett to fail both in this and in the next round of eliminations. So of course America voted Brett Loudermilk to spoil everything. How do the two best acts of the night face each other for last place? It was up to the judges to move on, and we almost couldn’t get excited for whoever was doing it because the other was coming home. What an injustice! Alright we lied we’re still excited for Double Dragon, because not only do we love them, but we love everything they represent. But we can still be bitter that the most talented artist of the night somehow leaves the competition. “America’s Got Talent” continues Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
