Texas man accused of fatally stabbing his 7-year-old brother

HALTOM CITY, TEXAS – A Texas man was jailed for capital murder on Sunday after police said he fatally stabbed his 7-year-old brother in a Fort Worth suburb. Police were called to a house in Haltom City at around 9.45 p.m. Saturday and found Jacob Gabriel Brito bleeding from multiple stab wounds, police said in a statement. He was pronounced dead in hospital.

Outside the house, officers found the boy’s brother, Isidro Brito Bruno, 20, with what appeared to be a stab wound to his upper body, according to a statement from Police Chief Cody. Phillips. He was arrested and taken to hospital.

Brito Bruno was being held in Tarrant County Jail Sunday morning on US $ 250,000 bail. The prison records did not mention a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.

Police said they were still investigating the stabbing and had not determined a motive.
