Known on the Internet as Suicide Squad: Tuez la Justice League, Rocksteady’s new title is the result of their success Batman: Arkham line of video games that lasted for most of a decade. But these four superheroic single-player adventures (like Batman, of course) will now give way to a team on the anti-heroic side of the rift. Target Numero Uno appears to be Superman, but with all of the Justice League in the Skwad’s reticle, you can rest assured that players will be able to hone their skills as they move up through the ranks. At least that’s our best guess so far.
The studio at the WB subsidiary has been fairly quiet in recent years since the release of Batman: Arkham VR in 2016 (unlike their counterparts at WB Games Montreal who teased a new Batman since at least last year.) However, the entry of WB Games Montreal in 2013 Arkham franchise Batman: Origines d’Arkham came with a Suicide Squad To tease. And rumors that Rockstead was also working on a Superman the game wasn’t quite right, but they weren’t totally far apart either. It seems that members of the Justice League will have to outlive the nothing to lose members of the Suicide Squad in what could be a game-changer for the franchise and maybe even for the industry. With SS: KtJL, DC fans might be able to do something they’ve wanted for a long time: kill their heroes.
