You’ll need to wear a mask to visit a Starbucks in Canada starting September 14, the company said on Monday.
The coffee giant said the mask’s mandate will be in place at all company-owned stores, which include all stand-alone locations in Canada.
“In some places where a local government mandate is not in place, customers not wearing face coverings will have various options to order their Starbucks, including steering wheel control, curbside pickup through the app. Starbucks or ordering. for delivery via Starbucks Delivers, ”the company said in an online notice.
“The company is committed to playing a constructive role in supporting health and government officials in their efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. All decisions are based on the support and safety of partners and customers, based on facts and scientific data, and communicated transparently, ”the company statement concludes.
Starbucks began recommending that customers wear face masks in May when its stores reopened.
